COURSE OBJECTIVES: After completion of this course participants will be able to: 1. Discuss the effects of culture on Turkey’s healthcare system. 2. Perform a self-evaluation of personal attitudes and beliefs related to Turkey’s culture and religious differences. 3. Analyze the differences between the Mediterranean & American diets. 4. Evaluate the delivery of healthcare in Turkey. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # 13805 for 30 contact hours.
FACULTY:
June Forkner-Dunn, RN, PhD, is an expert in planning & leading tours to Europe. She has owned her own travel company since 1978 & this will be her 31st European journey. A former faculty member at San Francisco State University’s Graduate School of Nursing, she has also served on the faculty of UC Medical Center in San Francisco, as well as taught courses at the University of London, Kings College of London & the American Embassy in Paris. June has published articles in Nursing, The American Journal of Medical Quality, Nursing Management, & The Professional Nutritionist.
