COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After completion of this course participants will be able to:
1. Analyze the
differences between the Mediterranean & American diets.
2. Discuss the effects of the country’s culture on its country’s healthcare
system.
3. Perform a self-evaluation of personal attitudes and beliefs related to other
cultures.

Compare and contrast the health & lifestyle differences of the visited country
with that of the USA.

FACULTY:

June Forkner-Dunn, RN, PhD, is an expert in planning & leading tours to Europe. She has owned her own travel company since 1978 & she has lead over 30 trips abroad. A former faculty member at San Francisco State University’s Graduate School of Nursing, she has also served on the faculty of UC Medical Center in San Francisco, as well as taught courses at the University of London, Kings College of London & the American Embassy in Paris. June has published articles in Nursing, The American Journal of Medical Quality, Nursing Management, & The Professional Nutritionist.
