Course Objectives:
After completion of this course participants will be able to:
Analyze the differences between the Mediterranean & American diets.
Identify the elements of the Mediterranean diet & lifestyle that promote good weight management and cardiac health.
Compare & contrast the differences in lifestyle between France and the US.
Continuing Education Credits:
You may choose the number of c.e.’s you desire (a maximum of 30 units) from a menu with a variety of choices. Options include approximately 3-4 hours of pre-trip reading, as well as field trips such as:

Visits to food markets and supermarkets | |

Outing to a working farm and lunch with the owner’s family | |

Excursions to wineries | |

Tours of museums and churches | |

Visit to a pharmacy and/or clinic | |

Lunches and dinners with locals | |
| Participation in local grape harvest festival |
A very simple trip diary is another option. Again, the choice is yours for how many c.e.’s you need, and what activities most appeal to you.

June Forkner-Dunn, RN, PhD,
is an expert in planning & leading tours to Europe. She has owned her
own travel company since 1978 & this will be her 35th European journey. A
former faculty member at San Francisco State University’s School of Nursing, she
has also served on the faculty of UC Medical Center in San Francisco, as well as
taught courses at the University of London, Kings College of London & the
American Embassy in Paris. June has published articles in Nursing, The
American Journal of Medical Quality, Nursing Management, &The
Professional Nutritionist.
